Now that we have solar panels on our house that are generating energy for us, we feel like we in control of our costs now.  And since we were the first house in our neighborhood to get solar panels, our neighbors have been asking lots of questions and I have been telling them that they should go solar.  We are saving money each month and it is a quick and easy process.  And with nothing out of pocket, to me, it was a no-brainer.

With Paramount Solar, we are saving anywhere between $80.00 to $100.00 a month in our electric bill.  And you know what else, too, is it’s kind of fun to look at the meter, your electric meter and see it running backwards. It’s like rollover minutes. We’re not dependent on the electric company as much, and -- and that’s a good feeling.

So we always wanted to do something environmentally friendly.  We have the Prius.  We got energy-efficient appliances.  But we thought solar was the next big thing.  So, Paramount Solar offered us a great deal and we looked at the numbers and it just worked for us, so we decided to get it installed. 

Our first month’s bill before solar was $95 and after we had it activated, we saved about $90 and that was actually quite amazing, shocking, and we were very surprised.  We didn’t think we were going to save that much.
